Moscow, August 4, 2023. The executed agreement provides that Gazpromneft's filling station network will implement GoodsForecast, a Russian technology platform for integrated business planning. In particular, automated inventory management processes for handling associated (non-fuel) goods will be implemented as early as this fall.
An automated inventory management system for associated products was developed by GoodsForecast for Gazpromneft's filling station network back in 2021. In 2022, while developing this solution, the company managed to replace more than 300 thousand hours of manual operations or 78% of the time required to handle the job previously with automated ones. At the same time, owing to the system, the deficit of goods was reduced by 33% and inventory levels decreased by 12%.
Later on, as part of the development strategy, it was decided to migrate the processes to a fully domestic technology stack. The updated GoodsForecast platform was chosen to solve the problem.
In addition to migrating the current inventory management functionality, new models will be added to the system to predict the effectiveness of promotion campaigns and a number of other improvements will be made to further reduce manual labor. This is expected to fully centralize the operational inventory management and non-fuel business processes analysis functions at Gazpromneft's filling station network in Russia.
Non-fuel business is a key component of the unique selling proposition of Gazpromneft’s filling stations. The product range offered by stores and cafes at one station averages 1,500 product items. Migrating the system that manages such goods to a new domestic platform will improve the company's operational efficiency through timely and uninterrupted deliveries to all points of sale and will help maintain a high level of customer service, making Gazpromneft's filling stations market leaders.
